How are you holding up?
Are you afraid? It could be that someone’s after you. Maybe you’re concerned about a friend. Perhaps the state of our nation has you rattled.
Are you lonely? It could be that you miss a loved one. Maybe you’re looking for someone to love. Perhaps you don't feel loved by anyone.
Are you dismayed? It could be that you’ve fallen once again to temptation. Maybe your dealing with a difficult person in your life. Perhaps life is just hard right now.
Are you weak? It could be that your body is failing you. Maybe your heart got broken. Perhaps guilt has sapped your strength.
Are you in need of help? It could be that you’re at your wits end. Maybe you’re confused. Perhaps you don’t even know where to turn.
I don’t know how you’re holding up… but I know who’s holding you up.
He's the one who gave up his life to exchange your sin for his perfection. Now he lives to exchange your fear with his courage, your loneliness with his presence, your dismay with his relief, your weakness with his strength, and your every need with his help.
How are you holding up? You’re holding up just fine…you’re in his righteous right hand.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand – Isaiah 41:10
